Born a multiethnic native of Waikiki, in Honolulu, Michelle went from being hopahouli in Hawaii to exotic in New York. Her performance experiences have been similarly broad, including an appearance alongside Liza Minelli at the prestigious Royal Prince Albert Hall in London with three standing ovations, to nearly being pulled off stage by a crowd of sixteen thousand screaming fans in South America with a popular meringue/hip-hop band. Even Michelle’s dance training can best be described as diverse, beginning with ballet at the San Francisco school of ballet, modern with instructors from the Alvin Ailey school, and ballet based jazz with Stephen Harding. Michelle has garnered national titles in competitive ballroom dancing for American rhythm, theatre arts and cabaret. She has also received excellent reviews in the N.Y. Times as choreographer of an off broadway dance production on restaurant row in Times Square. Michelle is also an assistant choreographer to Scott Grossman for the Miss Universe Pageant, the highest rated live television show in the world.
